Agreen ~ Miss New Zealand

Today we left our 5 star YHA hotel at around 7:45, and we arrived in Fox Glacier at 8:15. It’s really a hard job to take all of our luggages including two traveling cases and two backpacks, because our luggages are too heavy, so it often takes us a lot of time from Magic bus to BBH or YHA maybe half hour I think, and Yasuko and I are always laughing because we all want to throw away our super heavy luggages.

After checking in Ivory Tower, we went to Fox Glacier Alpine Guides to book our glacier walking. We chose All-Day Glacier Walk. The reason why we chose All-Day Glacier Walk is that we might see the cleaner Glacier than Half-Day Glacier Walk.

We took some cookies, fruit-apples and mandarins, chocolates, a bottle of water and warm clothes. At 9:30, we changed our shoes and took raincoat. We took bus to arrive the parking area. We had a long walk from 9:30 till 17:30, and when we on the way coming back our bus, Yasuko’s and my legs were shaking. We were really deadly tired….We were very hungry, but unfortunately the restaurant is too expensive so we need to cook by ourselves.

Tonight, we had fast food-rice, and we put some cheese on rice, it tasted very delicious, and we also had fruit-two mandarins and four kiwis. We all wanted to have soup, but we need to keep it for tomorrow dinner.

After dinner, I felt asleep soon, and at around 22:30 I woke up to write diary…….now it’s around 23:40, I think I am going to sleep soon again. Today it’s really a tough day!! We all need a good rest!!
